About

Denis Robitaille (better known as Sensei) and Julie Robitaille (better known as Sempai) are the friendly faces behind Robitaille's Academy of Martial Arts. Shortly after high school, Sensei decided he wanted to join a karate club. He joined the Dojo in Midland, Ontario run by Sensei Marlene, and Jerry Kasper. Sempai started training only six short months after meeting Sensei over twenty years ago! Sensei and Sempai have trained all over the world including at the home of the world Ju-Jitsu Federation in England. Since the Dojo was first opened in 1990, they have developed over 20 black belts! A student once said about Sensei and Sempai "No matter how hard they are pushing you in any of the classes you take, there is always a twinkle in their eyes and a smile on their faces. That's one of the great things about them, you know that they actually care about, and enjoy what they do."

At the Dojo, Sensei and Sempai play more roles than just the roll of the teacher. infact, it is not uncommon for them to take on the roll of: counselor, medic, teacher, artist, peace keeper, accountant, sales person, cleaner, athlete, and guardian. Every class with them is always a new and exciting adventure, and all of their students feel blessed to be trained by them.
